Excellent for video editing, 3D work, and pro tasks while staying power-efficient. • Display: ◦ 14.2-inch (3024x1964) or ◦ 16.2-inch (3456x2234) — both with 1000 nits sustained brightness (1600 nits peak HDR), 1,000,000:1 contrast, and P3 color. • Memory & Storage: Starts at 16GB unified memory (up to 32GB) and 512GB SSD (up to 8TB). • Ports: MagSafe 3 charging, 3x Thunderbolt 4, HDMI 2.0, SDXC card slot, headphone jack. • Other Features: 1080p webcam, six-speaker sound system with spatial audio, Wi-Fi 6, long battery life (up to ~17–21 hours video playback). • Build: Silver or Space Gray, available in 14-inch (~3.5 lbs) and 16-inch (~4.7 lbs) sizes. Best for: Video editors, photographers, developers, and professionals needing strong performance in a portable package. Note: Discontinued in 2023 — still capable in 2026 for most workflows, but newer M3/M4 models offer further improvements. Great value on the used market.
