Description

The Desview T2 Teleprompter (also known as Bestview T2 in some markets) is a compact, affordable, portable teleprompter designed for content creators, vloggers, YouTubers, interviewers, and video producers. It works with smartphones, tablets (up to ~8 inches / max 142mm wide, e.g., iPad mini size), and DSLR/mirrorless cameras. It’s popular as an entry-level or budget option for reading scripts naturally while maintaining eye contact with the camera lens.

Key Features
• Beam Splitter Glass: 70/30 ratio with multi-layer coating and up to 97% light transmission. This provides clear script visibility with minimal light loss (about 1 stop) and reduced ghosting/double reflections. The glass is specially treated for better performance.
• Versatile Mounting: Attaches directly to the front of your camera lens (like a filter). Supports wide-angle lenses (35mm and wider) without vignetting in most cases.

Device Compatibility:
◦ Smartphone or small tablet as the prompting screen (placed on the top platform).
◦ Phone/tablet holder with adjustable clamp (can mount on left or right side in some setups).
• Bluetooth Remote Control: Included wireless remote for play/pause, speed adjustment (scroll up/down), and basic controls. Pairs easily with the Desview app or compatible teleprompter apps.
• Portable & Lightweight: All-plastic build with brass inserts for durability. Weighs around 340g (light enough for handheld or tripod use). Folds or packs compactly for on-location shoots.
• App Support: Works best with the free Desview Teleprompter app (available on iOS App Store and Google Play). The app allows script import, font size/color adjustment, speed control, and basic editing. It also supports many third-party teleprompter apps.
Note: It’s a “through-the-lens” design — your camera shoots through the beam splitter glass while the script reflects off it toward the talent. Not ideal for very large tablets or ultra-wide lenses with protruding front elements.

Typical Specifications
• Supported Lens Threads: 9 adapter rings included — 49mm, 52mm, 55mm, 58mm, 62mm, 67mm, 72mm, 77mm, 82mm.
• Max Device Width: ~142mm (suitable for phones and small tablets; larger iPads may not fit securely).
• Glass Size: Approximately 8-inch effective prompting area.
• Build: High-quality plastic body + metal step-up rings.
• Remote: Bluetooth, compact plastic design with dedicated buttons.
• Other: Includes foam rings for secure adapter fit and a cleaning cloth in many kits.

What’s Typically Included in the Kit
• Desview T2 teleprompter body with beam splitter glass.
• 9 lens adapter rings (49–82mm).
• Smartphone/tablet holder/clamp.
• Bluetooth remote controller.
• Foam rings/sponges for adapters.
• Cleaning cloth.
• User manual.
• Carrying pouch or box (in most bundles).

Setup is straightforward: Choose the correct adapter ring for your lens, screw it on (like a filter), attach your prompting device (phone/tablet), load your script in the app, pair the remote, and record. It can be used for self-recording (phone as both prompter and camera in some creative setups) or with a separate camera.

Ideal Uses
• YouTube videos, vlogs, TikToks, and Reels where natural eye contact improves engagement.
• Interviews, talking-head videos, product reviews, or corporate presentations.
• Solo creators who want to read scripts without looking away from the lens.
• On-location or studio work (lightweight and quick to set up).

Real-User Feedback: Praised for its low price, ease of use, and good value for beginners or budget creators. The remote and app make controlling speed intuitive. Common pros include portability and wide lens compatibility. Cons: All-plastic build feels less premium, limited to smaller tablets, occasional minor ghosting (more noticeable to the camera than the eye), and the app is basic (not as feature-rich as paid alternatives). It performs well for casual to semi-pro use but may not suit heavy professional broadcast needs.

This model is a solid step up from phone-only apps and a great entry into hardware teleprompters, especially if you’re pairing it with your existing camera gear or smartphone setups. It’s frequently compared favorably to other budget options for content creators in Lagos or similar markets.
